The Iphone Is Awesome!

For Christmas I just purchased my wife a brand new Iphone. The picture of it is to the left, (I will take a better picture later).  Coincidentally today, Dec 1, I came available to upgrade as well. So, I figured what the heck I might as well get one too, so I did. Christina got the white one and I got black.

I have to say the phone is absolutely amazing.  I have been using the Siri feature to search, call, set reminders and all sorts of cool stuff. Everything is easy to use on this phone and I know for sure that we both are going to love this.

What You Need To Know About The Iphone

When using Siri to do searches online for businesses that I have done SEO for I found that they were not coming up online. A Maps location was coming up but Siri would automatically pick who they wanted to come up based on the search engine it is using.  Now, this is going to be very important to learn about over the coming weeks because Siri is only the first wave of this voice command technology on the phones to search for stuff. 

If you search specifically saying to search the web for plumbers in a city, or contractors or whatever then it will go to the internet and use Google as the search engine. There, the first results that come up are GOOGLE PLACES.  So, if you have a small business and do not have your google places listing verified at the very least you will miss out on the millions of people using their phones to search for you.  If you have no idea what to do and you own a small business, check out my offline business website, http://www.frontlineseo.com and on their you can find some good information to help you out. Also be sure to download the google places report, just fill in the form on the right hand side of that website.
